This X12 Transaction Set contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Rail Advance Interchange Consist Transaction Set (418) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. The transaction set can be used to transmit advance information on equipment being interchanged to a connection rail carrier, from a consignor or to a consignee.
