RESRSP Reservation response

TBG9 Travel, Tourism and Leisure

An interactive Travel, Tourism and Leisure Reservations Response is sent by a customer or his agent, to convey the results of a reservations request for a Travel, Tourism and Leisure service. The Travel, Tourism and Leisure Reservation Request - Interactive message (RESREQ) is utilised to provide the interactive request to which the RESRSP is used to respond.

  1. A service segment starting and uniquely identifying a message. The message type code for the Reservation response - interactive message is RESRSP. Note: Reservation response - interactive messages conforming to this document must contain the following data in segment UIH, composite S306: Data element 0065 RESRSP 0052 D 0054 14B 0051 UN

    1. The value in 0340 shall be unique within the interchange (except for a
    duplicate transfer).
    2. The value(s) in S302 shall be identical to the value(s) in S302 in the
    preceding UIB.
    3. 0035, when used, test applies to the message only.
    4. Dialogue control can be accomplished through the dialogue reference
    (S302). Optionally, if another means of control is chosen, this composite
    data element need not be utilised.
    5. A combination of 0340 and S302 may be used to identify uniquely a message.

  2. A segment identifying the industry type (i.e. air, car, train, accommodations, etc.) and business function of the message.

  3. A segment providing data pertaining to the originator of the interactive processing request (i.e. Travel Agent Identity or Location and the commercial Computer Reservations System delivering the message).

  4. Information providing a specific reference to a Travel, Tourism and Leisure (TT&L) reservation for products or services.

  5. Number and identifying qualifier pertaining to the entire reservation response (i.e. number and type of passengers, [4 adults]).

  6. Consumer reference information relating to the entire TT&L reservation response (corporate discount number, personal profile number).

  7. Tariff information relating to the entire TT&L reservation response.

  8. Availability information related to the entire TT&L reservation response.

  9. Additional information relating to a tour (tour code or name, length of tour, number of stops, etc.).

  10. Information providing contact numbers relevant to the entire TT&L reservation.

  11. Information concerning the amount of commission that will be paid for the booking of a service or product.

  12. A group or line number associated with this booking to be used as a reference in additional booking requests.

  13. Free form text data pertaining to the entire reservation response.

  14. Payment instructions for the entire reservation response.

  15. Information relating to documents associated with the entire reservation response.

  16. Addresses related to the entire TT&L reservation.

  17. Information specifying terminal equipment addresses and device types. This information may be used for tracing purposes.
