This standard provides the standardized format and establishes the data contents of the U.S. Customs Manifest (Ocean) Transaction Set within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. It is sent by U.S. Customs to ocean carriers, terminal operators, port authorities and service providers to supply them with cargo release and cargo hold information.
