Examples

Shipment status (214) feed

The EDI Core /translate endpoint is used to convert batched X12 EDI 214s from a shipping partner into JEDI bound for a retailers' ERP. Each EDI 214 document contains 300 transactions, resulting in an average file size of 150 KiB. The shipping partner sends a batch every 30 minutes, every day of the week, resulting in 1,488 EDI 214s every month.

First 100 requests = $0.00
Next 1,388 requests = 1,388 * $0.05 = $69.40
Total for all requests = $69.40

150 KiB * $0.00005 = $0.0075 per file
$0.0075 per file * 1,488 files per month = $11.16

$11.16 + $69.40 = $80.56 total
$80.56 / 1,488 requests = $0.054 per request

Medium volume purchase order (850) feed

The EDI Core /translate endpoint is used to convert JEDI 850s to X12 EDI 850s to generate purchase orders for vendors. The retailer generates 25,500 X12 EDI 850s each month, and each JEDI file is an average of 1.5 KiB in size.

First 100 requests = $0.00
Next 9,899 = 9,899 * $0.05 = $494.95
Next 15,501 = 15,501 * $0.01 = $155.01
Total for all requests = $649.96

1.5 KiB * $0.00005 = $0.000075 per file
$0.000075 per file * 25,500 files per month = $1.91

$650.00 + $1.28 = $651.87 total
$651.87 / 25,500 requests = $0.0255 per request

Hourly inventory (846) feed

The EDI Core /translate endpoint is used to convert X12 EDI 846 Inventory Inquiry/Advice to the JEDI equivalent in order to exchange inventory data with trading partners. A customer receives 10,000 KiB (10MB) EDI 846s once an hour every day, totaling 720 files over the course of a month.

First 100 requests = $0.00
Next 620 = 620 * $0.05 = $31.00
Total for all requests = $31.00

10,000 KiB * $0.00005 = $0.50 per request
$0.50 per file * 720 files per month = $360

$360 + $31.00 = $391 total
$391 / 720 requests = $0.543 per request
