Introducing the Stedi NPI registry
You can now look up details for any U.S. healthcare provider by NPI using the Stedi NPI registry.
An NPI is required for most healthcare transactions, including eligibility checks, claims, and claim status checks. You can use the registry to verify a provider’s NPI and other information before submitting these transactions.
What’s an NPI?
A National Provider Identifier (NPI) is a unique 10-digit ID assigned to U.S. healthcare providers.
There are two types of NPIs: one for individual providers and one for organizations. The NPI registry lets you search for and view records for both types.
What does the NPI registry show?
The registry includes dedicated NPI detail pages for over 9.3 million provider records, sourced from the NPPES NPI Registry.
