This post mentions Stedi’s EDI Core API. Converting EDI into JSON remains a key Stedi offering, however EDI Core API has been superseded by Stedi Core, an event-driven EDI system that allows you to configure integrations without being an EDI or development expert.

Stedi has four pricing tenets:

• Developers should only pay for what they use – no setup fees, implementation fees, monthly minimums, commitments, or long-term contracts;

• Products should be priced such that developers think of ways to use more of the product, not less of the product;

• Prices should never go up – only down;

• Generous free tiers should allow for liberal experimentation.

To that end, we are happy to announce substantial price decreases and an expanded free tier for our Generally Available products – EDI Core and Mappings. All changes will be reflected on bills dating back to January 1st.

EDI Core

EDI Core is an API that enables developers to programmatically transform EDI files to and from Stedi's JEDI (JSON EDI) format. EDI Core has dropped its pricing from $0.05 to $0.0075 per request – an 85% reduction – and has expanded its free tier from 100 to 1,000 requests per month. It now includes up to 5 MiB of data per month as well.

Mappings

Mappings provides a powerful UI for defining JSON-to-JSON transformations, which can then be invoked via API for data mapping at scale. There is no cost to build a map; you only pay for the number of requests to the Mapping API. Mappings has dropped its per-request pricing from $0.05 to $0.001 per request – a 98% reduction – and has expanded its free tier from 100 to 1,000 requests per month.
