Spotlight: Ethan Brookes @ Arbora Health
Spotlight

A spotlight is a short-form interview with a leader in health tech. In this spotlight, you'll hear from Ethan Brookes, Head of Sales and Growth of Arbora Health.
What does Arbora Health do?
Arbora Health is the RCM platform built specifically for behavioral health clinics. We give practices real-time data and actionable intelligence so they can submit, manage, and optimize claims with full visibility and control. We also have billing expertise on hand as a layer of support – but the platform puts providers in the driver's seat.
How did you end up working in health tech?
It started with a connection. Someone in my network had a need, I had the skills to fill the gap, and that was the entry point. But once I was in, I couldn't stop. I ended up working my way across pretty much every corner of the industry – hospitals and health systems, health plans, clinical trials and pharmaceuticals, employer benefits, and now RCM.
Each stop gave me a different lens on how broken the business side of healthcare really is, and how much opportunity there is to fix it. By the time I landed at Arbora, I had enough pattern recognition to know that behavioral health RCM was one of the most underserved pockets in the whole space. That's what pulled me in – and I haven't looked back.
How does your role intersect with revenue cycle management (RCM)?
My job is to connect the dots between what a clinic is losing and what Arbora can recover, optimize, and scale.
As Head of Sales and Growth, I'm focused on getting in front of owners and execs within these clinics – understanding the gaps in their revenue cycle and how Arbora can not only fill them but get ahead of them.
What do you think RCM will look like two years from now?
AI and automation are going to do the heavy lifting on the administrative side – prior auths, claim scrubbing, denial prediction – and the practices that adopt early are going to have a serious edge. But the bigger shift I'm watching is transparency.
Providers are done operating blind. They want real-time visibility into where their money is, why claims are getting denied, and what's actually happening in their billing cycle. The platforms that win won't just automate the work – they'll give providers the clarity to make smarter decisions. That's exactly what we're building at Arbora.
