What does Hello Patient do?

Hello Patient builds AI agents that handle patient conversations across voice, text, and web chat. They can answer calls, schedule appointments, handle billing questions, process referrals, collect payments, and follow up with patients – giving healthcare teams more capacity without adding more work to the front desk.

How did you end up working in health tech?

Honestly? I hated working in B2B SaaS. 😅

I wanted to work on problems where the impact felt more tangible. Healthcare has no shortage of complicated, frustrating problems to solve, and communication is at the center of a lot of them. That made health tech a pretty natural place to land.

How does your role intersect with revenue cycle management (RCM)?

A surprising amount of RCM happens through conversations with patients. Billing questions, insurance information, payment collection, follow-up. All of it depends on actually reaching people and making it easy for them to take the next step.

At Hello Patient, we think a lot about how AI agents can handle those conversations at scale while still making the experience feel natural for the patient.

What do you think RCM will look like two years from now?

I think AI agents will own a significant portion of the patient-facing RCM workflow.

Instead of point solutions for individual tasks, agents will be able to carry a patient through the entire experience: answer a billing question, explain what they owe, collect a payment, follow up when needed, and know when to bring in a human.

The biggest shift won’t just be automating more tasks. It’ll be connecting those tasks into one continuous patient experience.
