What does Quill Bills do?

Quill Bills is an AI-powered practice management system. We have AI automations for VOB, coding, rules-based claim submission, claim scrubbing, status checks, follow-ups, and analytics.

How did you end up working in health tech?

My parents are doctors, and I grew up watching my father deal with billing issues. I started by actually doing the billing for his practice.

How does your role intersect with revenue cycle management (RCM)?

Our platform has several RCM-related automations. The goal is to reduce the amount of data entry and unnecessary clicking while also preventing a greater number of denials by reducing errors pre-submission in ways only possible thanks to language models.

What do you think RCM will look like two years from now?

Personally, I think there will be a much easier way to accomplish a lot of the basic RCM tasks directly within a practice's PMS+EHR. You won't need to layer AI tools on top of an existing PMS+EHR, and you'll be able to save on software costs accordingly. The AI-native PMS+EHR will also have so much context about your clinic that you'll just be able to ask it to do things, and it will do many of them without human intervention.
