We’re expanding the Stedi Agent with conversational capabilities through two new features:
Payer Finder: Ask questions about payers using conversational AI
Chats: A dedicated page for all your Stedi Agent conversations
You can use these tools to get answers to payer questions faster and easier.
Payer Finder
Payer questions are often more complex than they seem. Questions like:
“What are the payer IDs for this list of payers?”
“Does Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas support real-time claims status checks?"
"Which of these payers requires transaction enrollment for eligibility?"
Getting answers used to require filtering Payers API responses or multiple Payer Network searches.
Now, you can just ask Payer Finder – in plain English, right in the Stedi Portal.

What Payer Finder can do
Payer Finder has full access to the same payer data as the Payers API and Payer Network, including:
Payer names
Payer IDs and payer ID aliases
Supported transaction types
Enrollment requirements for each transaction type.
AI Chats
You can access the Payer Finder in the Stedi Portal’s new Chats page. Just click Chats in the portal nav.
The Chats page is your hub for everything related to the Stedi Agent. You can start a new Payer Finder chat or pick up a previous one.
You’ll find a list of your past conversations in the Chats page’s sidebar, along with any eligibility recovery sessions you’ve started with Stedi Agent since the Chats page launched.
As we expand the Stedi Agent, we’ll continue to add new features here.
Security
Payer Finder doesn’t have access to PHI or account-specific data.
You must have the Operator role or above to access the Chats page or use Payer Finder. All chats are visible to anyone with access to your Stedi Portal account. Keep this in mind when asking questions.
