What does subQdocs do?

subQdocs goes beyond the EMR – AI built in, not bolted on – automating dermatology workflows to reduce staffing and cut costs. Experience the Power of Q.

We’re building an AI-native EMR focused on office automation, so that a four-practitioner office with 17 employees doing repetitive work can become an office of 10 highly skilled staff focused on top-value tasks.

How did you end up working in health tech?

I’ve spent my entire career in AI – long before AI was “cool.” My PhD is in optimization algorithms. After school, I worked at half a dozen startups, some that scaled successfully and others that are scaling now.

Most recently, I founded this company with a few friends to solve a core gap in the dermatology market. Our goal is to bring Tony Stark’s Jarvis from Marvel to dermatologists – an intelligent assistant that helps them run better practices and focus more on patient care.

How does your role intersect with revenue cycle management (RCM)?

Having an AI-focused clearinghouse is key for us. We believe AI will drive everything in the near future, so we need partners who share that vision.

We needed access to every payer under the sun, with performance that is fast, reliable, and intelligent. Stedi delivers that foundation and allows us to build smarter workflows on top.

What do you think RCM will look like two years from now?

Highly automated – AI working with AI.

Right now, payers constantly introduce new rules and requirements, making reimbursement unnecessarily difficult for dermatology practices. Most of the time, it’s not intentional – it’s the result of large, complex organizations managing massive systems.

We believe AI will simplify that complexity and make reimbursement faster, more predictable, and less burdensome for providers.
